About this role

As our Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping people access life-saving treatment through thoughtful, data-driven campaigns. You’ll lead initiatives that connect with prospective patients — delivering the right message, at the right time, through the right channels. Reporting to our Head of Growth, you’ll collaborate across teams to build and optimize marketing programs that drive enrollment and build trust with the communities we serve. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a creative strategist who cares deeply about equity in healthcare, and knows how to turn insights into action.

Success in this role

Marketing Strategy & Execution - 40%

  • Own patient acquisition campaigns across paid media, organic, email, and partner channels — from strategy through execution and performance tracking
  • Test and iterate on creative approaches — including channel mix, campaign formats, and messaging
  • Develop and manage content calendars in collaboration with design and engagement teams

Data & Performance Optimization - 30%

  • Analyze and act on data from Google Analytics, Looker, and Salesforce to assess performance, optimize campaigns, and drive continuous improvement
  • Create and evolve audience personas and messaging frameworks to guide segmentation and targeting
  • Manage agency or contractor relationships as needed to expand capacity or scale media buys

Lifecycle & Partner Marketing - 30%

  • Build and maintain lifecycle programs that nurture interest from referral partners and patients — including email campaigns, drip sequences, and re-engagement workflows
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, community engagement, and clinical teams to support outreach with scalable, high-impact tactics

Requirements for the role

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on customer acquisition, performance, and demand generation
  • Proven ability to run full-funnel campaigns that generate leads and conversions
  • Strong data fluency, including experimentation, funnel analysis, and optimization
  • Proficiency with tools like Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, Salesforce (or similar CRM), and Looker (or similar BI platform)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; effective project manager with ability to prioritize and execute quickly
  • Experience creating or managing audience-specific content
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing best practices
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability and creative problem solving

Nice to have but not required

  • Experience marketing to or through referral sources (e.g., hospitals, clinics, correctional systems)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant marketing platforms and privacy-sensitive workflows
  • Background in B2B2C marketing or partner engagement strategies

Work environment

  • This is a fully remote role but we are currently only hiring candidates located in Portland, OR
    • Changes to working location require pre-approval from People Operations and are not guaranteed.

  • Office Requirements: Boulder teammates working with sensitive information must have a dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to maintain a secure, distraction-free environment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Boulder Care employees are free to use our river-front HQ located in Portland, OR whenever they would like

Expected hours of work

This is a full-time remote position expected to work 40 hours between Monday-Friday during standard business hours.

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000; base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity grants in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave).
