What you’ll be responsible for:
As Director of APAC Operations, you’ll be a key leader in Circle’s international strategy, responsible for shaping Circle’s expansion and growth strategy in APAC and driving operational excellence across the region. You’ll lead the development and execution of market-specific growth plans across APAC, drive Circle’s operationalization in each market, and manage the launch and ongoing performance of new regional entities. Your leadership and ability to work cross-functionally will be instrumental in navigating diverse regulatory environments, scaling operations, and enabling growth across key APAC markets.
What you'll work on:
Lead Circle’s operations strategy for the APAC region, defining country-specific expansion plans aligned with regional business goals.
Build market entry frameworks and secure internal alignment on go-to-market plans and legal entity formation.
Manage the end-to-end process of launching new operations or corporate entities in APAC, in close partnership with compliance, legal, finance, and product teams.
Serve as the regional operations lead across launches, ensuring readiness across infrastructure, talent, and compliance.
Monitor regional performance metrics in collaboration with data science, providing insights and recommendations to Circle’s Executive Leadership Team.
Act as the primary liaison for operational updates across APAC with internal stakeholders and company leadership.
Build strong regional relationships with regulators, vendors, and partners to support successful market launches and ongoing operations.
What you’ll bring to Circle:
Core Requirements
10+ years of experience in strategic, operational, or analytical roles, including at least 5 years of leadership in APAC-focused cross-functional initiatives.
Proven experience in international operations or market expansion across Asia-Pacific countries.
Deep understanding of regional business practices, regulatory environments, and cross-border operational complexities.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with legal, compliance, product, and engineering teams.
Proficiency with tools such as Slack, Coda, MacOS, and GSuite.
Strong executive communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
Preferred Requirements
5+ years of experience in fintech, crypto, or other regulated industries within APAC.
2+ years in international expansion or regional operations roles with a focus on APAC.
Experience working and living in one or more APAC countries.
Proficiency in one or more APAC languages helps build stronger partnerships and navigate multicultural business environments.
Familiarity with blockchain technologies and digital asset markets in APAC.
