The Role

We are looking for a full time Sr. iOS Software Engineer who is interested in working on a small remote team in a fast-paced environment, creating and producing new technologies for Dayforward products. You’ll be joining an exciting team, responsible for delivering and integrating tracking capabilities for health and fitness and innovative experiences to Dayforward consumers.

Essential functions include:

• Utilize Apple software development tools such as Xcode and Instruments to develop, test, debug, and deploy quality software
• Utilize tools such as Git and Github in the software development process
• Create and executes designs for software components within a larger project
• May perform as a technical leader or Lead Software Engineer for derivative software project
• Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
• Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
• Perform technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems
• Serve as a mentor to less experienced software engineers
• Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes
• Ability to create new applications from start to being launched in the App Store

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another relevant engineering/technical field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• At least 3 years developing applications in a work environment; outside of school and internship projects
• Experience with Apple iOS SDK frameworks
• Familiarity with Web APIs such as REST and GraphQL
• Familiarity with Javascript, CSS, and HTML
