THE POSITION:

The Commercial Analytics Manager will work closely with the Commercial Senior Manager and act as liaison with the different stakeholders (e.g. marketing, product, sizing, customer operations) to drive our DFS commercial strategy and ensure that it gets properly implemented across the organization. At the same time, he/she will be responsible for managing an analyst, monitoring the business performance, spotting trends/criticalities and working with group-wide teams to improve business performance with actionable insight, models and solutions. A successful candidate will be a curious, self-motivated and organized individual with high attention to detail, who can easily problem solve and is able to make quick, well-informed decisions and back them up with data-driven results.
THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Work with the Commercial Senior Manager to help set the focus for the team and initiatives planned
- Manage an analyst to produce specific insights around customer behavior, year over year trends, and drivers of business performance
- Build and own tools and models that measure business performance and help forecast future business results, ensuring they are complete, accurate and regularly reviewed and refreshed
- Own the day-to-day management of requests and tasks of your team
- Ensure projects and resources are aligned with current departmental priorities
- Provide line management, coaching and professional development to analysts in your team
- Be an expert of FanDuel DFS customer experience end to end (e.g. media, registration funnel, funding, odds, UX, promos, CS) and always look for further improvements
- Identify opportunities that will benefit customers, while considering profitably, and take responsibility for bringing them to life and owning the outcome
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the needs of each department on a regular basis
THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
- Minimum of 1 year managing and coaching analysts, data scientists and/or data engineers
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload for direct reports
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel required
- Basic ability to use other programming languages for data analysis Python & R preferred
- Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format
- Experience working with Tableau for data visualization preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing stakeholders and colleagues
- Experience working and presenting cross-functionally with all levels of management. As well as the ability to work autonomously for periods of time
- Commercial acumen: understanding of business principles and tactical levers to pull
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
- Interest or past experience in Sports Betting and or Gaming preferred
