As a Security Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial part in securing our platforms that give sports fans opportunities to win. In this role, you will manage the Enterprise Security team while working closely with Enterprise IT teams to ensure appropriate detections and capabilities are present across the organization.
You should know how to prioritize, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong team.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Manage and grow a team of engineers to deliver security projects that enable business objectives and create impact
- Work directly with leadership teams to make informed decisions for the security of the organization
- Define, evangelize and drive Security Engineering best practices & improvements across the organization while setting clear measures of success
- Implement secure by design/default by building repeatable security patterns and/or leveraging frameworks
- Lead conversations to remove blockers and foster collaboration across teams
- Own and drive resolutions to complex technical challenges
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 8+ years of hands-on security experience as an IC, including 3+ years with direct management responsibility for a security team of at least 5 engineers
- Capable of managing initiatives across multiple workstreams, with the ability to forecast and size buckets of work in an agile environment
- Problem-solver with a deep technical understanding of security engineering principles
- Proven ability to evaluate the overall health, design, and quality of a system or services- including regular reviews to ensure operational health & uptime
- Ability to make concrete progress in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge and avoid “analysis paralysis”
- Strong analytical capabilities to optimize solutions in a space with complex moving pieces, variables and constraints
- Ability to influence, drive change, and mentor team members to have high impact and positive outcomes
