THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it
The FanDuel TV Lighting Director will oversee all aspects of design and execution for our FanDuel TV productions and content. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye for detail, strong technical expertise, and the leadership skills to effectively manage lighting for our studio and remote productions as needed. The Lighting Director will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of lighting elements into overall production design and execution.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Develop and integrate lighting plots and designs for FanDuel TV Productions in collaboration with FDTV Leadership, Production, and Operations
- Operate lighting consoles, maintain and modify existing looks
- Develop, write, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the studio and remote teams, ensuring tasks and projects are completed within strict deadlines
- Act as point person on lighting and design projects, including spec’ing equipment and materials
- Monitor show productions and consult with video production teams to QC and enhance productions
- Perform tech checks at the beginning of each shift to check for burnouts, repositioning of equipment and overall set & grid maintenance
- Conduct and perform routine and preventive maintenance of lighting fixtures, boards, and equipment
- Report and follow up with technical and/or equipment issues to Studio Operations and Engineering teams and submit support tickets if needed.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 3+ years of experience as a Lighting Director or similar role
- Must be creative: Have a good eye for color and texture. Be able to design visually stimulating lighting.
- Have working knowledge of camera shading and video levels
- Proficiency with lighting design software and programming languages
- Must be detail oriented and can work a flexible schedule consisting of weekends, late nights and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Able to troubleshoot with minimal impact to on air show.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude & leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Excellent communication skills: Able to understand the Director and Producer’s creative vision and communicate it to studio staff
- Some travel may be required
- Have a strong understanding of safety protocols and laws. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Unassisted and work on a ladder

The applicable hourly range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
