THE POSITION

FanDuel is seeking an On-Air Talent to appear on live television, delivering in-depth analysis and color commentary for live horse racing on-site at racetracks across North America. This role requires a strong on-camera presence and the ability to explain the intricacies of horse racing from an insider’s perspective, offering dynamic and educational insights to help viewers make informed wagers on FanDuel TV's live racing broadcasts.

The ideal candidate will be able to engage viewers while taking direction from production staff in a fast-paced live environment. This position also involves participating in special productions around marquee racing events, as well as creating packaged features and digital content for a variety of platforms, including FanDuel Racing’s Advance Deposit Wagering platform and social media channels.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Collaborate with production staff in pre-show preparation, contributing to the content, structure, and flow of live broadcasts.
  • Deliver clear, concise, and engaging analysis of live horse racing to educate and inform viewers.
  • Perform effectively under pressure, adapt in real-time, and think on your feet during live on-air broadcasts.
  • Conduct interviews with guests both in-person and via digital platforms.
  • Participate in live on-air broadcasts lasting 3–6 hours per show, five days per week.
  • Improvise and ad-lib for extended periods while receiving real-time direction through IFB communication.
  • Travel to racetracks across North America; up to 50% travel required outside of home location annually.
  • Collaborate with production teams to create content across FanDuel platforms, including television, social media, apps, websites, and other digital channels.
  • Engage in social media and digital marketing campaigns, including participating and creating posts on FanDuel platforms.
  • Provide voiceover for features, packages, and promotional content.
  • Participate in production planning and attend meetings as needed to align with creative direction.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, with availability to work any day of the week (Monday through Sunday).
  • Arrive at least two hours prior to airtime for preparation.
  • Adhere to FanDuel TV’s standards for professional on-air appearance and presentation.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented environment with colleagues and production crews.
  • Obtain prior approval for any media appearances or external engagements outside of FanDuel properties.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the horse racing industry.
  • Proven experience as a live on-air broadcaster for horse racing on television or other professional media platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the horse racing ecosystem, including behind-the-scenes operations, pari-mutuel wagering, and data analysis.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills—clear, confident, and engaging—with the ability to translate complex racing concepts for a broad audience.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital media, including contributing to social media platforms and digital content creation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to racetracks and events across North America (up to 50% of the year).
  • Familiarity with broadcast production tools and workflows, including IFBs, studio equipment, and remote broadcasting setups.

The applicable salary range for this position is $90,000 - $148,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
