THE POSITION

The Programmatic Media Manager will be responsible for building our programmatic media buying program from the ground up, including developing and implementing a comprehensive cross-channel strategy. This pivotal role will lead the transition to a new buying platform while establishing best practices, processes, and strategic direction for our programmatic operations. The ideal candidate will be an expert in digital media & have management experience, ideally with in-house media functions in high-paced, dynamic environments for industry leading brands.
This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to drive program development and performance across programmatic channels. We’re looking for a team player who is comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and has an ear to the ground when it comes to emerging best practices and market trends.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.
THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play
- Design, implement, and execute FanDuel Casino’s programmatic media strategy, overseeing our in-house transition and developing our cross-channel approach to drive new user acquisition and build brand awareness.
- Hands on keyboard management of OLV, display, mobile, audio, and DOOH.
- Guide junior team members in daily management and optimization of budget allocation, bid strategies, ad formats, audience targeting, brand safety, supply & inventory, reach & frequency, etc.
- Make thoughtful recommendations to key stakeholders to improve the performance of respective programs.
- Own and build strong relationships with external partners. Work closely with them to evaluate media opportunities and optimize channels that will achieve FanDuel’s business and marketing objectives.
- Introduce innovative opportunities both through existing relationships & new initiatives.
- Liaise with cross-functional internal teams, creative partners, and agencies to ensure the seamless launch and execution of all campaigns.
- Improve internal processes for digital media campaign management, including streamlining creative and tag trafficking to multiple partners, QA-ing campaigns and optimizing workflows.
- Mentor and/or manage junior members of the team to foster an environment that encourages intelligent risk taking, innovation and creativity.
THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
- 5+ years of experience managing and executing programmatic campaigns at an agency or in-house team.
- 2+ years of managerial experience preferred.
- Expert in DSPs such as DV360, TTD, Yahoo, Amazon Ad Platform, or other comparable DSPs.
- Strong knowledge of ad-serving, tracking systems, ad management platforms & MMPs.
- Meaningful experience working with performance marketing and media metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV) and understanding of the utilization and relationship between them.
- Experience negotiating favorable rates and deal structures with advertising partners.
- Strong analytical / reporting skills with the ability to make data-justified business decisions (a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Excel required).
- Strong knowledge of the marketing landscape.
- Strong understanding of marketing testing and reporting methodology.
- Ability to succinctly communicate both verbally and in writing and provide clear direction on projects.
- You should be a strong team player with the ability to foster good working relationships.
- Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

The applicable salary range for this position is $111,000 - $139,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
