THE POSITION

We’re hiring an Associate Creative Director - FanDuel TV. This individual will contribute to the development of FanDuel TV. They will impact their direct team through goal setting and managing results on near-term projects. They will manage and implement impactful projects and procedures and contribute to team or department strategy with solutions that address team efficiency. Their work product will go beyond the team to internal and external collaborators. The impact range of this position is expanding, with contributions reaching beyond the immediate team to broader collaborators, while review and approval processes ensure alignment and consistency.

This role is highly collaborative. Applicants should be comfortable working closely with producers, technical directors, stage managers, engineers, operators, developers, editors, designers, and animators to produce high performing creative across a variety of channels and media platforms. Applicants should also have a strong integrated motion graphics portfolio, knowledge of TV, sports and sports betting.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

Brand Strategy & Development:

  • Define and expand our brand's tone and manner across all our product verticals.
  • Develop new show branding for FanDuel TV, FanDuel Racing, FanDuel TV Extra and FanDuel TV+.
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to align on FanDuel brand guidelines across all verticals.
  • Collaborate with social media team, vendors, and distribution platforms to align on FanDuel and show-specific branding.

Production & Creative Execution:

  • Collaborate with production teams to seamlessly integrate our visual identity into shows.
  • Work with producers, technical directors, stage managers, engineers, operators, developers, editors, designers, and animators to execute holistic content strategy.
  • Solve complex technological executions for live productions with engineers and operators.

Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Apply business acumen to set priorities and make data-informed decisions that advance department objectives.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to deliver department objectives.
  • Delegate effectively to increase efficiency and distribute opportunities fairly.

Project & Team Management:

  • Build and lead high-performing teams by developing talent, coaching, and providing intentional career navigation.
  • Produce and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Create deal sheets, track POs, and work with Graphics Director and Creative Director on financial planning.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 6 years of art direction experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of broadcast experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience mentoring or managing teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree with focus in Fine Arts/Design or related field.
  • Experience working with agencies.
  • Experience leading and effectively managing a team of creatives.
  • Proficient in design, motion graphics, mogrts, using data in live TV templates, strong knowledge of standards in typography, layout, photography, and UI.
  • Skilled in Xpression, Chyron, CSS, VB, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Asana, Confluence, LucidChart.
  • Strong portfolio of design and art direction work across a variety of media.
  • A strategic creative who can turn data and insights into high-performing assets.
  • Scanning information and data to identify necessary project amendments and pivots.
  • Ability to work top down and bottom up.
  • An ideas person who follows-through.
  • Taking ownership of assigned projects while fully supporting others' work through effective collaboration.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time-management abilities required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Applicants should be conversant in all major sports as well as the basics of sports and horse betting.
  • Must have the ability to work well with diverse populations and demonstrated level of cultural competence.

The applicable salary range for this position is $138,000 - 173,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
