We are looking for an intern with full-stack experience to help us build and maintain our web applications. The person in this role must understand the fundamentals of modern web technology (e.g., React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) and must have experience in creating scalable, performant, and intuitive web applications . This role will involve implementing, testing, and supporting features for web based applications that are delightful to use.
We Are Looking For Interns Who:
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Software Quality, and Operations to understand end user requirements.
- Implement features in React, TypeScript, Python, Node.js, C/C++.
- Fix bugs and improve existing code including migrating code to React + TypeScript.
- Develop web apps with a variety of data sources including documents, databases, raw and/or processed sensor data, and backend APIs.
Additional Skills That Will Help You Be Successful At Kodiak:
- Strong technical background as evidenced by BS, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
- 2+ years of experience building web applications with scalability and performance
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and C/C++
- Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
- Familiarity with web sockets and Typed Arrays; Three.js, or Web Workers a plus
- Good communicator; you must be capable of writing clear and concise documentation.
Educational Requirements:
- Field(s) of study: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields.
- Will consider graduate students at any stage of their Master's or Ph.D. studies.
Internship Program Details:
- Start Date: January 2024.
- Our internship program is 12-16 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Location: Mountain View, CA.
- Housing: interns are responsible for housing.

The monthly range for this intern position is $9,166-$10,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We can share more about the specific salary range for your job level during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed above are base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
