We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Reporting & Technical Accounting to oversee SEC filings, technical accounting research, financial reporting, financial systems enhancements, and internal controls. This role will ensure compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP, drive process improvements, and support key finance initiatives, including enhancing financial reporting processes within the company’s ERP system.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public company reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- SEC Reporting & Compliance: Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K. Ensure compliance with XBRL tagging and evolving SEC disclosure requirements. Partner with external auditors and legal counsel to address review comments and ensure timely filings.
- Technical Accounting & Policy Development: Research and document technical accounting issues, providing guidance on complex transactions. Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company. Develop and maintain company accounting policies, ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures. Conduct variance analysis and financial statement preparation. Collaborate with Investor Relations to support earnings releases and investor communications.
- Financial Systems & Process Improvements: Support financial reporting system enhancements and process automation efforts. Work closely with Finance, IT, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial data integration within the ERP system. Assist in optimizing financial workflows and reporting capabilities within the ERP environment.
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance if applicable. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting. Act as a key liaison with external auditors, ensuring timely resolution of financial statement reviews and technical accounting matters.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on SEC reporting and technical accounting.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and financial reporting software.
- Proven ability to research and document complex technical accounting issues.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- 3+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting.
- Experience in the technology, autonomous vehicle, or logistics industry.
- Prior experience with IPO processes or working in a public company environment.
- Familiarity with XBRL tagging and financial statement preparation tools.

The salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$210,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual salary ranges will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
