The precision required for optical components is at the micron or sub-micron level, and the same level of precision is required for molds. Furthermore, mold design engineers must be able to respond accurately and flexibly to new shapes and functions, utilizing their extensive theoretical knowledge.

We are seeking the engineers who can independently and proactively meet such challenging demands.

Responsibilities

  • Design and drawing of core parts (insert components) for injection molding related to new development projects
  • Concept development, design, and drawing for new injection mold base (master molds)
  • DFM and proposal feedback for new development projects
  • Proposal, design, and drawing of molds incorporating molding requirements
  • Management of mold component manufacturing by vendors
  • Verification and judgment of measurement data for machined parts and assembled molds; calculation of adjustment dimensions

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in mold design for resin products
  • Design experience using 3D-CAD
  • Persons who can proactively think using a logical approach, independently identify solutions, and execute them
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline, or possessing equivalent capabilities
