The Apple Home team is looking for self-driven, passionate Hardware Engineers to develop innovative high-tech products from concept, architecture, design, validation, all the way to manufacturing support. Our products are state of the art in every way: user experience, feature definition, hardware and software integration, connectivity, sensing, power consumption, fabrication, reliability, manufacturing scale, and design.

Description
With tremendous amount of learning and growing opportunities, you will play a meaningful exploration and system integration role in the development of new Apple Home products.
The position is based in the Shanghai area with exciting office and engineering lab setups. You will have opportunities for domestic and international travels to work side by side with world-class engineers all over the world.
Responsibilities
- You will start from developing understanding for an Apple-designed product through product definition, architecture block diagrams, schematics, datasheets, as well as interactions with the global design teams.
- You will explore and develop new concept with innovative and experienced engineers.
- You will build prototypes and deliver demos.
- You will be responsible for system design, including architecture, early derivation/simulation analysis, component selection, schematic capture, PCB placement, layout, bring-up, and validation.
- You will interact with California design teams frequently, work closely with other teams in Greater China areas as well.
- You will interact with our contract manufacturers’ and key vendor teams, driving them to a high level of quality.
- PhD/MS/BS in Electrical Engineering, Robotics or equivalent.
- Proven EE fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience in prototype design, bring-up, debugging, functional verification and validations.
- Hands on lab equipment experiences including oscilloscopes, DMM’s, power supplies, e-loads, etc.
- Clear English communication for global teamwork.
- Experience of crafting high volume consumer products from beginning to end.
- Programming / scripting skills, hands-on experiences in AI applications.
- Experience in one or more of following: robot research, design & prototyping, motor drive and control, SOC integration, camera integration, display integration, DC-DC, analog design, audio system design, high speed design, Bluetooth, WiFi and other RF hardware, video electronics design, sensor integration, etc.
