As a Hardware Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability and quality of Apple’s products through rigorous validation and testing processes.

Working hand-in-hand with cross-functional partners across product design, software engineering, manufacturing, and quality, you'll help bring world-class products to customers across the globe.

Description
As Hardware Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and optimisation of innovative test solutions to validate Apples amazing product line-up.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for hardware/software systems.
  • Develop test fixtures, instrumentation setups and validation methodologies.
  • Analyse test results, identify failure modes and drive root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and improve product quality.
  • Review new product roadmap requirements and develop appropriate test plans.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in testing.
  • Lead product bring-up, prototyping and NPI phases.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in hardware validation, test engineering or related roles within a manufacturing or R&D environment.
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, power supplies).
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, C/C++ or similar) for test automation.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, failure analysis and debugging hardware/software issues.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-quality engineering environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects with the ability to prioritise activities.
  • High attention to detail commitment to product quality.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous implement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing third party vendor engagements.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, such as test procedures, SOPs, FA reports, user requirement specification documents.
  • Working knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies (3D printing).
  • Familiarity with Apple platforms (iOS, MacOS) and hardware.
