Description
The Apple Accessories & Beats Team is seeking an experienced sales professional to lead efforts to grow both the Apple-branded Accessories and Beats categories with new and existing reseller partners in Japan.

Apple Accessories & Beats Team is a nimble group of professionals focused on rapidly growing the Accessories and Beats business at Apple and building cross-functional competencies for continued success. The team engages directly with Apple's largest resellers to build deeper partnerships, accelerate sell-thru, and ensure Apple customers have access to the essential branded accessories and Beats audio products they need to unlock the value of hero devices. To support this effort, the team also works closely with the sales, demand planning, operations, finance, legal, and marketing organizations worldwide to define the holistic strategy, design unique offers and incentive programs, develop essential channel assets, manage supply availability, and ensure the successful launch of new products.

Responsibilities
  • The Business Development Manager will principally be responsible for selling in the vision of the Apple Accessories & Beats team to partners and shepherding partners from pitch to close — including defining the strategy for individual accounts, providing assortment, placement, and consumer offer recommendations, negotiating commercial terms, and navigating cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful launch of new partner programs. Additionally, the Business Development Manager should be entrepreneurial and seek to "wear many hats," proactively pursuing new and unique projects as the team grows and evolves.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Exceptional ability to deliver strategic and nuanced sales messages across both Accessories and Beats categories.
  • Excellence in understanding and overcoming challenging objections.
  • Proven experience managing customer relationships across multiple account types and channels.
  • Strong presentation skills and executive-level presence.
  • Ability to architect new cross-functional business processes to ensure timely results.
  • Ability to quickly understand and augment complex analyses.
  • Demonstrated experience with POS/sell-through data analysis and translating insights into commercial recommendations.
  • Familiarity with seasonal business rhythms and promotional planning in consumer electronics or adjacent categories.
  • Experience managing omni-channel partner relationships, including physical retail and e-commerce platforms.
  • Ability to monitor and synthesize competitive intelligence into strategic positioning recommendations.
  • Experience with — or strong interest in — Beats-relevant lifestyle, music, or sports retail channels.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels and functions, inside and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to orchestrate cross-functional initiatives, building momentum across diverse teams without relying on direct authority.
  • Track record of establishing mindshare for a category or business priority among skeptical or disengaged stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficient in Japanese and business-level written and verbal English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing sales, business development, or related roles preferred.
  • Experience in retail/telco sales preferred, especially as a merchant.
  • Experience with GTM planning, new product launches, or NDA-sensitive pre-launch environments is a plus.
  • BS or BA required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
