Join Nexar's hardware team to design, prototype, test innovative cameras & accessories. Handle hardware integration, review schematics, and bring ideas to life through hands-on prototyping and coding.
DESCRIPTION
You will be immersed in the day-to-day activities of designing, prototyping, integrating, and testing new hardware for Nexar. As a key member of the Nexar HW team, you will contribute to the creation of new cameras and accessories by prototyping new ideas, driving initial integration at the low-level hardware stage, and reviewing ODM schematics. You will be hands-on with prototyping, schematic and layout reviews, firmware coding, and utilizing maker platforms to bring innovative hardware solutions to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Schematics: Review new product schematics and support initial testing of new hardware (Thermal/RF/Mechanical) and coding/integration of new hardware accessories at low level
- Design and Prototype Automation Systems: Design automation hardware and software and prototype new hardware concepts
- Hardware Issues: Debug hardware issues in existing products
- ODMs: Collaborate with ODMs to ensure design and production standards
- Documentation: Document and report on prototyping and testing outcomes
REQUIREMENTS
Technical skills & qualifications
Experience in hardware board design
Hands-on experience with sophisticated test and measurement equipment
Knowledge in electronics components, PCB and PCBA design and assembly process, batteries, radio frequency (RF)
Proficiency in working with CAD software
Coding skills in C/C++, Python in Linux and RTOS environments
Familiarity with maker platforms
People skills & traits
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with a passion for innovation
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
Experience working with ODMs
Basic spoken Mandarin
Willingness to travel abroad (Asia)
