DESCRIPTION

As a Platform Engineer – Security at Nexar, you’ll build and maintain our core infrastructure while leading security across the organization. You’ll work closely with firmware, cloud, frontend, and AI teams to ensure security is embedded into every layer of our platform and development lifecycle.

Your work will shape how we architect and protect Nexar’s infrastructure, strengthen our certification processes, and support the secure operation of our vision-AI ecosystem that processes massive amounts of connected driving data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud environments.

• Run security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation.

• Define and enforce security standards, policies, and best practices.

• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate protections.

• Secure Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerized environments.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure availability, performance, and security.

• Use IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt) to implement security-first architecture.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve security and infrastructure issues.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

Technical skills & qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.

• 3+ years in Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure/Security Engineering.

• Strong hands-on AWS experience; GCP is a plus.

• Deep knowledge of cloud security and vulnerability assessment tools.

• Experience securing Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.

• Strong Terraform skills (Terragrunt a plus).

• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions preferred).

• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

• Proficient in Python/Bash/Go and Linux systems.
