As a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), you will be responsible for leading, directing, and managing a high-performing pharmacy team. You will develop employees, promote teamwork, and motivate team members by establishing expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm, and sharing the company vision.
This is a leadership role where you will be front and center ensuring members get accurate orders on time, while also owning compliance and regulatory accountability for the facility. You will maintain deep knowledge of pharmacy operations, drive operational strategies for continuous improvement, and partner cross-functionally to deliver a seamless pharmacy experience. This posting is for our location in Torrance, CA. This hire is for a Full-Time role.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead regulatory compliance of the pharmacy, ensuring adherence to all state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Direct compliance audits and inspections, partnering with Compliance, Patient Safety, and Licensing to maintain the highest standards.
  • Ensure SOP governance, ensuring all pharmacy operations are documented, standardized, and compliant.
  • Oversee inspections from boards of pharmacy and other regulatory bodies, demonstrating expertise across all pharmacy processes and systems.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Quality teams to ensure proper drug handling, receiving, tracking, and ingredient quality.
  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Quality) to optimize member outcomes and support new product launches.
  • Lead, coach, and manage pharmacy staff through 1:1s, team huddles, and accountability structures.
  • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes professionalism, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and expand licensure in multiple states (15+), enabling the facility to support Ro’s growing national footprint.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • 8+ years of experience as a pharmacist, with at least 5 years as a PIC or pharmacy manager.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Active pharmacist license in California, unencumbered; willingness to obtain additional licenses in other states.
  • Regulatory, compliance, or audit experience, with demonstrated success managing inspections and audits.
  • Knowledge of compounding regulations (USP <795>, <797>, <800>).
  • Mail order or central fill pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with inventory management, scheduling, and project management.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and communication skills to drive team success.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as needed.

The target base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $160,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
