About the role
We are seeking a Product Manager with a strong background in building software solutions within a SaaS/marketplace environment. The ideal candidate will drive the development of new tools and features in the Door product suite. With several years of experience, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
Product Development, Strategy, and Execution:
- Become the subject matter expert on Door products, customers, and how customers use them.
- Experience with consumer-facing products as well as and B2B2C products, specifically native applications.
- Experience with both mobile and web-based applications.
Experience with Access, Prop-tech, and Services Products a plus. - Identify areas for improvement and potential features, prioritizing based on customer insights, business needs, and data-driven decision-making, utilizing and understanding data from analytics and BI tools like Looker, Tableau, Mixpanel, etc.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch, setting vision strategy and priorities, defining requirements, and ensuring deadlines are met. Leverage tools such as Confluence, Jira, Miro, Asana.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the platform remains user friendly and intuitive.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to minimize impact on project timelines and objectives.
- Resolve issues proactively during project execution, ensuring minimal disruption to schedules.
- Adapt project plans to respond to changing requirements or unexpected challenges.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate project priorities when necessary.
Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Work:
- Lead cross-functional teams of developers, designers, QA engineers, and other technical professionals— Foster collaboration and communication across teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with technical leads to ensure solutions align with architectural standards and best practices.
- Review and approve technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform project decisions and strategy.
- Prepare and present project status reports, including key metrics, risks, and accomplishments, to leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Several years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a SaaS product management or related environment.
- Proven ability to leverage data to make product improvement decisions.
- Proven experience managing complex projects with crossfunctional teams, including remote or distributed teams.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- A keen eye for good design and usability, with experience working closely with UX/UI teams.
- Strong problemsolving skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in product management software and agile methodologies.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
