We are seeking an Orthodontist to provide temporary coverage on a locum tenens basis. This position will focus primarily on completing existing orthodontic cases and supporting continuity of care for patients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, clinically confident, and comfortable managing treatment plans already in progress.

Responsibilities

  • Provide orthodontic care for existing patients, including adjustments, wire changes, and case finishing.
  • Review and follow existing treatment plans, making clinically appropriate adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with practice and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to ensure consistent communication and patient follow-up.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program (new graduates welcome to apply).
  • Current, unrestricted dental license in the state you’re applying to.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a PRN or short-term assignment.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Flexible PRN schedule based on practice needs.
  • Short-term assignment, typically 2–6 months working 3 days a week.
  • Competitive daily rate or percentage-based compensation, commensurate with experience.
Pay Range
$1,550$1,770 USD
